A new website aims to take the hard work out of tracking down the best restaurants, bars and hotels.

'Food Wine Sleep' is an online guide to dining, drinking and accommodation, and is marketing itself as the first to combine all three experiences in one easy-to-use portal. Amy Merriman, managing director of Food Wine Sleep, said the site will "initially feature 2144 venues across Australia, but new venues will be added all the time."

A unique feature of Food Wine Sleep is the ability of users to review or blog about their favourite places. They can also make use of a scoring system, which allows others to see, at a glance, what their peers think of that establishment. Whether happy or unhappy, the peer reviews are designed to help users make a choice about where to eat, drink or stay the night.

The site incorporates another first. It allows real-time bookings through a booking system called 'Dimmi', which enables users to make real-time online restaurant reservations in the same way they would book airline flights, hotels and more.

Food Wine Sleep has teamed up with several leading partners to provide comprehensive and  up-to-date content. The Wine Society has been enlisted to provide users with information on wines from Australia and overseas. TimeOut Sydney is onboard, allowing the website to preview everything that's hot and happening in Australia's social spectrum. The site also acts as a convenient resource for food by including a library of recipes from international chef Paul Hegeman.

The website was launched on September 21, 2009 and can be viewed at www.foodwinesleep.com.au.
